Nightshade has tremendous promise but tends to fall short in the moments that it fails to empower its own protagonist.
Nightshade is a new contribution to the number of visual novels in the Nintendo Switch and a necessary one for the fans of the genre. With its multiple plot lines, dark environment, alluring plot and fitting art style, Nightshade's flaws regarding its clichés and some sub-par endings amidst its multiple paths pose no obstacle to this being an involving and recommended experience.
