Critic Reviews for ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game
ATOM RPG is a game so clearly designed for mouse and keyboard on PC that you should only play it on Nintendo Switch if you already have experience with the game. Going in as a complete newbie will be a brutal lesson in patience and frustration, and you need the kind of knowledge of how to play and the ease of use that comes with the PC version first. Ultimately, that makes ATOM RPG an interesting, but incredibly difficult game to recommend.
Overall ATOM RPG stands tall on its own feet making for a great first entry by this dev team into the world of post-apocalyptic isometric RPG survival games (try saying that 10 times fast).
ATOM RPG is trashy, yet hilarious; clunky, yet addictive. It's a fun Fallout clone that at times makes you laugh, and at others yell at your screen.
For an indie-RPG, this game runs well and has a good story attached. There are several characters to choose from and many attributes to learn and adjust as you go. If you were disappointed by Fallout:76, give this one a try as it feels a lot like one would expect a Fallout game to feel, without the disappointment!
You will like ATOM RPG if you like classic RPGs, but it takes a good dose of patience to be able to get fully into it. Faults and bugs are normal, but it is their difficulty that will throw many players back. But if you overcome all this, I assure you that a gem awaits you.

A few minor complaints aside, Atom RPG does a wonderful job of bringing the classic feel of CRPGs to the Nintendo Switch. It would be reasonable to expect a number of bugs to be present in such a complicated title from a group of indie developers, but the team did an exceptional job putting everything together.
