Copy pasted game from the previous one and from the myriad of other metroidvania we have around. Whole game is just an endless boss fight like any generic Souls game. No innovation, no creativity.
the long awaited sequel that certainly delivered. keeps lots of aspects from the first game while still being original in a very fun way
This game was everything I wanted and more from a sequel to one of the best games ever made. The only real flaw is that it takes a couple hours to get going. But when it does, it's absolutely untouchable. In every way it expands and improves on its predecessor.
Hollow Knight is my favorite game of all time, and Silksong is a fantastic sequel that somehow manages to one up many of the breathtakingly great aspects of its predecessor : visuals, storytelling, music, combat, bosses, level design...all of it is top notch, with amazing depth and a lot of
Amazing metrodivania. It's true that some checkpoints are far away from your objective, but those are few exemptions.
All in all it's a great expereince, with many many different mobs and gloryfull boss battles. Be prepared for a real challenge to 100% complete this gem as secret ending proove many hard
Game is great but has some design decisions straight out of 2015, that were also a problem in hollow knight. It's beyond frustrating from the developers they refuse to listen to any feedback and just expect fans to like every decisions, when they've been loud and clearly they don't like
One of the best open world 2D games of all time. Beautiful, outstanding level design, interesting combat, rich lore. This game is extremely hard but rewarding. A modern masterpiece.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is a beautiful Metroidvania, with smooth and satisfying controls. There are many platforming sections and boss fights that are truly peak.
As with Hallow Knight and most Souls games that have minimalist style of storytelling, I don't really get the lore behind everything but understood the gist
While it doesn't capture the heights of Hollow Knights wonder and whimsy, Silksong's combat and exploration far exceed both it's predecessor and other genre goliaths. A high point of praise is Silksong's insistence in punishment, boss runbacks being a prime example of the Team Cherry's integrity in maintaining a precise
good game with a lot of content for only 20$. it was hard at start, but I really enjoyed it
Just overrated game like it's good but not the best and just because of this I give a bad rating
It would be a masterpiece if act 1 was more approachable. It has some design decisions that make the experience frustrating even for experienced players. This is not a DLC anymore, it is a proper standalone game, I think at Team Cherry they were not smart enough with this.
I recommend,
A beautiful challenge after spending hundreds of hours in Hollow Knight. I love the art, the music, the story, and combat. It is no easy task, but that is a part of the reason why I keep coming back to it.
Silksong is really weird because you see the perfect gameplay and world building you saw, but the game design philosophy from the devs prevent to fully enjoy it if you're not an excellent gamer. Why trolling so often, why no accessibility options ? We are not in 2015 anymore, why
