I can potentially see fans of RTS games loving this and enjoying it for what it is, but hardcore RTS fans will think this is just a dated attempt to bring the genre to switch. It could have been so much better. It should have been so much better!

Crazy Monkey Studio and Warcave bring a worthy RTS that does not come to revolutionize the genre but if willing to give many hours of fun and provide variety in a genre in which console users are somewhat orphans. It brings with it some virtues such as its simplicity of use, a great replay and that being able to handle a T-Rex always cool a lot, unfortunately also brings some problems among which we must highlight a rather poor control. Even with everything if you are a lover of the RTS and you give him an opportunity, be sure that you will not leave disappointed.

I felt like I’d played this game before with a different skin on it, and its yet another case of a RTS game trying to jump from PC to console and being sold short by the inability to replicate the fluidity of mouse and keyboard in to play with a controller.

Warparty reminds us right at the beginning of Warcraft 3 in the Stone Age look. It is a classic real-time strategy game, which is therefore more home on the PC. I looked at the port on the switch and whether the control was well adapted. Warparty has three factions with their own units and their own campaign. The story is completely unimportant and you notice that the focus is more on the multiplayer, which is also on the PC, but the blast is that was completely waived in the switch version. In addition, the controller was not really optimally adapted for the console, which other genre representatives have done better. In handheld mode, it is very tiring to play because the lyrics are tiny. But back to the game itself. I like the setting of the Fantasy Stone Age very well and is very innovative and nicely designed, there are also dinosaurs and dinosaurs are great. The three factions play a little differently. There are Undead, Wise and Wild, all leaders have their own abilities and spells, but the units are quite similar. In addition to the campaign, there is also the Horde mode, in which you have to defeat waves of enemies and the Skirmish mode as a free game against the AI. In the long run, but the multi-player mode is missing, because such games are simply made for this and always against the AI to play boring. In itself, Warparty is a good RTS game, which one should not play on the switch though.
