NetEase has revealed that 20 million players have joined in on the free-to-play hero-shooter, Marvel Rivals. The title launched just two short weeks ago, and reaching a milestone such as this in such a short period of time is a testament to the popularity of both the Marvel franchise and team-based shooters.
On the official Marvel Rivals X account, the devs shared the news of the massive player count, as well as the revelation that there will be a free reward to claim as a thank-you for the fans' support.
While every title has its quirks, Marvel Rivals has reached milestones quicker than most may have expected. Having only launched on December 6 of this year, it didn't take long for fans to dive in, as the title hit 10 million players in just three days. Sporting an extensive roster of both heroes and villains from the Marvel franchise, 33 playable characters to be exact, the 6v6 shooter is nothing short of a good time, according to the fans.
