A controversial new feature lets Marvel Rivals players vote to surrender during a match, prompting a discussion within the game's community. While designed as a helpful tool to make losing as quick and painless as possible, some feel the new feature can actually make online games more toxic, Marvel Rivals included.

Just a few weeks after its release, developer NetEase has given Marvel Rivals fans a lot of exciting new content to enjoy, including a brand-new limited-time festive game mode named Jeff's Winter Splash Festival. Inspired by Jeff the Land Shark, one of Marvel Rivals' most notorious characters, this holiday event pits players against each other in a mode akin to Splatoon, where two teams of four try to paint the map in their own color. Other recent additions include new skins and other cosmetics, something that will likely become a staple with future Marvel Rivals updates. However, one of the game's recent additions is causing controversy, with some fearing it will turn Marvel Rivals into a toxic environment.

Marvel Rivals features Captain America as a Vanguard whose kit fails him regarding how one-dimensional and weak one of his abilities is.
