Assassin's Creed Shadows' associate game director, Simon Lemay-Comtois, has confirmed that Yasuke isn't considered an assassin and therefore can't use their abilities like Eagle Vision. At least he can kind of do a Leap of Faith.
As long as you don't spend too much time on the internet, one of the most exciting things about Assassin's Creed Shadows is its dual-protagonist set-up. On the one hand, we have the more traditional Naoe, a stealthy and fast-paced assassin with all the usual moves. On the other, we have Yasuke, a more combat-oriented samurai who struggles with movement.
This is the final form of Assassin's Creed Infinity.
Ubisoft has made it clear since Assassin's Creed Shadows was first revealed that Naoe and Yasuke are going to play completely differently, but there were still some questions about which abilities would be shared and if any could be learned. It looks like Yasuke isn't going to be getting graceful any time soon, though, as the developers have confirmed he's not an assassin.
As reported by GamesRadar+, Shadows' associate game director Simon Lemay-Comtois made it clear in a recent interview that Yasuke isn't an assassin because it wouldn't make sense...
