Like any good survival crafting game, Valheim’s freedom allows players to create their own narrative from their character’s adventures in the Tenth Realm — long treks across dangerous landscapes to battle monsters, epic struggles to get your cabin just the way you want it, and everything in between. Now, Iron Gate is taking advantage of that to show off the game’s upcoming region: Valheim’s new Deep North biome is going to be revealed via a series of in-game YouTube videos following the adventures of a viking warrior.
These videos will feature Hervor Bloodtooth (great viking name), who has traveled far to reach the Deep North. She apparently lost many friends along the way, and appears on the shore by herself — suggesting that she’s the only survivor of her journey. We don’t care about that part of her journey though, because it didn’t take place in the new biome. More videos will be coming soon, hopefully longer than the 28 seconds we got in Part 1. The voice actress for Hervor does a nice job adding to the melancholy the sparse music of the video provides, and it’s got us excited for part 2!
