Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 hasn't even been out for a week yet and there's already a mod that fixes the game's infamous save system and lets you keep your progress without using Saviour Schnapps.

One of the big selling points and goals of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was making you feel as sucked into Henry's world as possible, which it aimed to achieve with realistic movement and combat, survival systems, and a world that reacts to your choices. That was all well and good, but it did lead to some divisive gameplay mechanics.

If reviewers are worried about helping or hurting a game's Metacritic score, they're not doing their job.

Perhaps the most infamous of these was the game's save system. At launch, Kingdom Come: Deliverance didn't let you save unless you had a surprisingly hard-to-craft drink called Saviour Schnapps, a decision that was so controversial that a save and exit option was eventually added in. Well, that's all returned for the sequel.

Just like in the first game, manually saving in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 requires Henry to craft Saviour Schnapps, which is a lot easier this time around but still a fair bit of legwork...
