New content is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a part of the game's second Season.

Coming to Modern Warfare this week is a new take on Ground War. Entitled Infantry Ground War, this version of the mode takes out tanks and APCs, leaving just infantry on the ground. The mode will come with its own playlist. There will also be a new 3v3 snipers mode on the Rust map. Finally, there will be a new map added to Gunfight called Bazaar, which was originally revealed on the game's Season 2 roadmap.

Two small patches were added to the game recently, fixing a few of the game's issues. This includes some players not being able to claim existing Battle Pass tokens, and a fix for players receiving the "Jockworth" error while in Gunfight Tournaments. You can see a full list of the fixes here.

It was also announced that a double XP event will begin this Friday. The event will last through the weekend, and could be a good way to level up a few Battle Pass tiers.

A recent report points to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale mode, Warzone, releasing sometime in March. According to the report, the mode will unlock instantly for all of those who own Modern Warfare. Warzone will be released as a standalone game that will be free to all players, though the option to upgrade to the full version of Modern Warfare will be available to those who do not own the base game. It is likely that Warzone and Modern Warfare will share a progression system, with unlocks also being available in the battle royale mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox One. All of the game's new content will release this week, though a specific date has not been given yet.
