Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's latest update will allow players to customize their weapons.
On the Call of Duty Blog, it was revealed that players will be able to get creative with their weapons in the Armory with Gunsmith Customs. This will allow players to mix and match attachments from blueprints of the same weapon to create guns that have unique looks and capabilities.
The new Modern Warfare update will add the MK9 Bruen LMG. This weapon can be acquired through the "Encryption" bundle, or by completing a challenge in the Weapons menu. Players will also have access to the Pyromaniac bundle. This bundle comes with a skin for Krueger, the Caldera Legendary blueprint, a Finishing Move, flaming Throwing Knives, and more. Gamers will also be able to purchase the "Fire Claw III" bundle, as well as earn the Obsidian camo.
A new Contract, entitled Most Wanted, has been added to Warzone. When this Contract is activated, players will make themselves a Bounty Target for all teams. If players survive, they get the ultimate reward: a redeployment of their fallen teammates.
Shoot the Ship is coming back in a new playlist, and features Shoot House and Shipment. This weekend will be a Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass Tier Progression earn rate. To get these bonuses, players just need to jump into any playlist in Modern Warfare and Warzone starting on May 1st at 10:00 a.m. PST. The event will last until May 4 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
This week's Modern Warfare update will come in two parts. When the update goes live, there will be a patch to download as normal. After that patch, when players try to access Modern Warfare's Multiplayer, Special Ops, or Campaign, they will be prompted to download the Data Pack DLC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
