WoW Goes Full Animal Crossing With New Interior Decoration Options

Player housing, World of Warcraft's most requested feature, is finally coming in the next expansion, World of Warcraft: Midnight.

Since its announcement, Blizzard has been slowly revealing what players can expect. That includes today's major announcement regarding interior design options.

Players will have two primary modes for decorations: Basic and Advanced. Basic mode allows you to quickly place or remove objects and move them around while still keeping movements constrained. The goal here is to make it super simple to put something together inside your home.

Advanced interior design, however, is, well, more advanced. Blizzard has gone wild in removing restrictions, collision for decor, enabling gimbals (3D controls on objects) to move items on all three axis, and more. Advanced mode aims to let players interact and design their home as they see fit. Blizzard talks about how employees have been able to turn bushes into garland for their fireplaces or turn paint buckets into spice racks.
