Final Fantasy VII Remake was the top dog for the PlayStation 4 in the month of April.
According to the PlayStation Blog, Final Fantasy VII Remake topped the download charts for the PlayStation 4 in the month of April. The game beat out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was then followed by NBA 2K20. The top PS VR game was Beat Saber, with Creed Rise to Glory and Job Simulator following behind respectively. Call of Duty: Warzone was the top free-to-play title last month, with Fortnite trailing behind in second, and Apex Legends coming in at third. Finally, the top DLC / Expansion for the month of April was Fortnite's Iris Pack, with GTA Online's Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack coming in at second, and Fortnite's Bassassin Challenge Pack trailing in at third. The news that Final Fantasy VII Remake was PlayStation's top game for the month of April comes soon after the announcement of the three games coming to PlayStation Now this month. The three games are Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, The Evil Within 2, and Get Even. It was announced that Rainbow Six Siege will be the base version of the game, and that it will only be available on the service until November 2nd, 2020.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available now for the PlayStation 4. The game will make its way over to other platforms in April 2021. The game's second episode is in development, though it is currently unknown when it will be released.
