There will be no microtransactions in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time according to the game's developer.

It was recently reported that Crash Bandicoot 4 would have in-app purchases. On the Microsoft Store page, the description for the game states a price of $59.99, with a small bit of text below the price stating that the game will have in-app purchases. Now, developer Toys For Bob have come out to clear the confusion and assure fans that there will be no microtransactions in Crash Bandicoot 4

"We're seeing confusion about MTX in Crash Bandicoot 4 and want to be clear: There are NO MICROTRANSACTIONS in Crash 4," the developer stated on Twitter. "As a bonus, the Totally Tubular skins are included in all digital versions of the game."

Crash Bandicoot 4 was first announced last week. The game is meant to be a true sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Warped, and will pick up right where that game left off. The title will feature the same 3D platforming that Crash fans have come to expect from the series. However, the game will feature a new art style and gameplay mechanics. Crash and his sister Coco will be able to pull off a number of new platforming tricks, such as wall running, rail grinding, and rope swinging.

Crash Bandicoot 4 will also introduce new gameplay mechanics in the form of the four Quantam Masks, which grant Crash and Coco powers that allows them to to bend the rules of reality. So far two of these masks have been revealed. The first is the Kupuna-Wa, the Time Mask, which allows players to slow down time to make more precise movements. The second is Ika Ika, which allows Crash and Coco the ability to break the rules of physics and platform upside down. The four Quantam Masks will grant players new powers that will allow them to complete a wide range of challenges throughout the game.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2nd.
