Assemble Entertainment has announced that seven classic Leisure Suit Larry games are retiring from Steam soon. The irreverent franchise has been out since the late 1980s, bringing a touch of adult humor to the point-and-click adventure genre. Larry has made a comeback in the past decade, returning for some new adventures that took him into the 21st century, and while those newer games will remain on Steam, all the earlier games in the series will soon be taken down.
According to the Leisure Suit Larry Steam page, every game in the retro collection will be retired and delisted from Steam soon, although no specific date is listed for when this will happen. The announcement states that "After decades of questionable pickup lines and unforgettable adventures, it’s finally time for Larry to hang up his leisure suit—at least the retro version of it!"
