When it comes to supporting fan creations, you have to give The Elder Scrolls and Fallout developer Bethesda more credit than most big publishers out there. Even if you're not a fan of the system itself, Bethesda has used ideas like the Creation Club to try and help dedicated modders to make new content for their games, and the developer has benefited many times over the years thanks to unofficial patches.
The classic games will still hold up, if we let them.
Bethesda supports even bigger projects too, as despite having known it was going to remaster The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion for quite some time, it allowed the Skyblivion fan project to keep going despite being potential competition. In fact, Bethesda has been so supportive when it comes to Skyblivion that it even sent every team member free game keys for Oblivion Remastered after its official reveal.
It's clear that there's a lot of love between the Skyblivion team and Bethesda, and the studio has demonstrated that once again with a touching little shout-out during a recent developer spotlight for Development Lead Dan Lee (thanks PC Gamer).
