Ubisoft Forward is the French developer-publisher's answer to a pandemic-stricken year without E3. The digital showcase will air this Sunday, July 12, at noon Pacific, and you can watch it here with us. Bookmark this page for the event, then comeback on the day of the showcase to find the below video streaming the show live.
As for what to expect at the show, it depends on how soon you join in. A one-hour pre-show begins at 11 am and promises news on several games Ubisoft has already released. Ghost Recon Breakpoint looks to be getting its first major expansion revealed during that pre-show, and it may accompany the return of AI squadmates, a feature missing at launch which the studio promised to build back into the game following fan outcry.
The Division 2 is also announced to get some pre-show spotlight, perhaps signalling the game's next major add-on is coming too, following the March launch of Warlords of New York. Other pre-show games hinted at include Just Dance 2020 and the recent Trackmania reboot.
At noon, the main show kicks off with several big-name games expected to show, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and the recently revealed Hyper Scape. Beyond those, Ubisoft promises "a few surprises." The publisher loves to bring some unexpected reveals to its summer showcases, though one of them was leaked earlier today. Far Cry 6, starring Giancarlo Esposito, hits current- and next-gen systems beginning next February.
As for what else to expect, we know of many Ubisoft games that may appear, but some of them seem to be having problems, like the oft-delayed Skull & Bones and the disappeared Beyond Good and Evil 2. As for Splinter Cell fans, it seems like we'll go another year without Sam Fisher's iconic goggles on stage in any real capacity, though he keeps popping up in other Ubisoft games, quite teasingly.
