Oblivion Remastered has shaken the world of Skyrim fans. They have realised that despite Skyrim being more popular, Oblivion is the better game. The deep and complex magic system, the level scaling, and even the lack of popular mechanics from Skyrim have worked in Oblivion's favour.

However, not only have they realised that it is the better game, but it has also made them rethink their decisions in Skyrim. One of the biggest decisions you take in Skyrim is choosing between the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Legion. It seems after spending some time in Cyrodiil, fans have realised that they may have chosen the wrong side.
Over on the Oblivion subreddit, one player who experienced the game for the first time via the remaster has had a change of heart. "I immediately supported the Stormcloaks due to the classic “rebellions against supposed fascism cliche. However, after many playthroughs I became more of a sympathizer for the Empire as to prepare it for the next Great War," they explained. "Interestingly, after playing the Oblivion remaster, I noticed how noble, loyal and motivated the Empire’s soldiers and citizens are."
