The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has proven to be a hit, and luckily for PC players, it's just as accommodating to mods as the original release. Mods can often be ambitious, but one very small change made by a mod has become something of a required download for players who want to immerse themselves in Oblivion's roleplaying.
Nexus Mods user Wong4Sik1 has created Wonger's Shield on Back, a mod that simply allows you to put your shield on your character's back. The creator even calls it "A super simple mod that will put the shield on the player's back rather than the arm." It may be a relatively small change, with virtually no mechanical consequences, but the comments on Nexus Mods are raving about it. "Thank you greatly! This mod is a must-have for me," says user AntarestLYA, "whenever I use shields, having to carry a shield constantly in my hand looks so much worse, especially when a character is sprinting."
At the time of writing, the Shield on Back mod is approaching 9,000 downloads in just five days, having been uploaded to Nexus Mods on May 4. Users in the comments are even reporting...
