While trekking across Cyrodiil in Oblivion Remastered, you come across a ruined fort. After dispatching the enemies outside, you enter the old structure, making your way through labyrinthian corridors and striking down enemies at intervals. You then come upon a more powerful foe, likely the leader of the group. After you defeat and loot their body, it's time to reap your rewards.

It only took me two decades to figure out where I was going wrong.

As you attempt to pick the lock, your hand slips, breaking the lockpick. No matter, it happens all the time. You try again. And again. And again. That was your last lockpick – it seems this chest is going to remain locked. Has Oblivion's lockpicking system left you in a situation like this?
