The majority of us were overjoyed when we learned that Oblivion Remastered is essentially Unreal Engine 5 pulled over the old Creation Engine, allowing everyone to enjoy the familiar quirks of Oblivion, but with a new coat of paint.
Virtuos didn't leave everything untouched—the studio reworked the levelling system to be less archaic, for example. There's still potential for more improvements to be made to Oblivion Remastered, and players haven't been shy about expressing their wants.
In a Reddit thread by the notable asthmatic WeezyWally regarding future patches, the Oblivion Remastered community flocked to the comments to suggest improvements. A lot of these suggestions are based on user interface, something that modders were quick to improve following the original release of Oblivion.
"Can we get subcategories in the inventory? Why do I need to scroll through all my ingredients to find a potion?" writes _SirSpacePickle. This is especially curious because Oblivion did originally have inventory subcategories, which were especially useful in situations like the one described above.
