Dead by Daylight now supports Cross-Play.
In a post on the Dead by Daylight website, it was announced that Cross-Play has released for the game. This means that everyone can now play each other no matter what platform they are playing the game on. Along with Cross-Play, Cross-Friends was implemented into Dead by Daylight as well. With this new feature, gamers will be able to create a friends list that is cross-platform. This should make it easier to play with friends who are playing Dead by Daylight on a platform other than their own.
Another feature coming to Dead by Daylight soon is Cross-Progression. The feature will allow players to to share their progression, purchases, and inventory between platforms. The feature will release in September, and will be available for Steam, Google Stadia, and the Nintendo Switch. The team behind Dead by Daylight did state that they could not make Cross-Progression available on other platforms, and stated that they could not guarantee that it will happen. Despite this, they know that this is a community wish, and will keep trying to make it happen. Gamers will have to create a Behavior Account in order to link progression.
Last month it was revealed that Dead by Daylight will be coming to Google Stadia this September. This version of the game will come with two features exclusive to the platform. The first is Crowd Choice. This feature allows viewers to influence their favorite YouTube streamer's match by choosing whether they will play as either Killer or Survivor, and which character they will be using. The second feature for the Stadia version of the game is Crowd Play. Crowd Play allows YouTube streamers to invite their community to play a match with them at the touch of a button, helping the YouTuber engage with their audience.
Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. The game will come to Google Stadia in September.
