Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently undergoing a resurgence that you rarely see in the games industry these days. At the start of the month, the game was averaging around 1,000 players a day on Steam, but that number ended up growing pretty substantially thanks to all the Star Wars hype surrounding May 4, and the release of the second season of Andor.

A few days later, the number of players jumped again, and the number has been growing ever since. In fact, it was recently claimed by a reliable Battlefront insider that the game is currently averaging around 80-90k players across all platforms, and it appears as though we could see even more growth as we head into the weekend.

First spotted by the Twitter account Daily Star Wars Games, the resurgence of Battlefront 2 has been going so well that it has officially beaten its own all-time peak player count on Steam, which was set at 10,489 over four years ago. At the time of writing, Star Wars Battlefront 2's all-time peak player count now sits at 11,484, and it's likely it won't stop there as we head into the weekend.
