We now know when we will be getting more DOOM Eternal

It has been announced that DOOM Eternal's first DLC expansion will release in October. Entitled The Ancient Gods, Part One, the expansion will release on October 20th. The expansion will be the first part of a brand new story for DOOM Eternal, though it is not known when the second part will release. A trailer was released for the expansion (seen here), and gives players taste of what to expect from The Ancient Gods. There will be new features, such as riding a submarine, new enemies to kill and vicious new ways to kill them, and more.

The Ancient Gods, Part One picks up where DOOM Eternal's original story left off. According to the official Bethesda website, "Bringing down the Khan Maykr left an imbalance of power that threatens all of creation. With the aid of an old ally, battle your way back to Urdak and decide the fate of the cosmos once more."

The Ancient Gods, Part One will be a part of DOOM Eternal's Season Pass, which can be purchased on its own or as a part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. Gamers can purchase the Season Pass for $29.99, which comes with two DLC expansions. The Ancient Gods, Part One can be bought on its own for $19.99. Bethesda has stated that gamers do not need to buy the original game in order to play The Ancient Gods, Part One (via Polygon). Purchasing the expansion on its own will give players access to BATTLEMODE, Doom Eternal's multiplayer mode.

DOOM Eternal is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and will offer free next-gen upgrades for those who own the current-gen versions of the game. A Nintendo Switch port is also in the works.
