We rarely get a near-bona fide discovery in a game that's nearly two decades old. The release of Oblivion Remastered has introduced a new generation of players to the joyous whimsy of the Elder Scrolls 4. In fact, more players are playing Oblivion than ever.
But, there's no scope for discoveries, because everything players are discovering was found nineteen years ago by original players. However, that may not be completely true. A Reddit thread by FatalKicker21 asks the community for help with a strange locked door they discovered in one of the random planes of Oblivion.
The door, which seems to be hovering without a wall, leads to a location called The Lost Citadel. There is no reference to this location on the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, the best resource for information about Oblivion.
This wasn't added in Oblivion Remastered, as commenter DumbWeatherNerd has posted a screenshot of the same door from the original release of Oblivion. They add that using console commands to unlock the door doesn't change anything, as you still can't enter the unlocked door.
