We Just Got Another Look At Skyblivion, And It Can Definitely Hold Its Own Against Oblivion Remastered

Skyblivion is launching this year, after more than ten years of development. However, without any way of knowing, this landed them in the same launch year as Oblivion Remastered, which shadowdropped in April.

Some feared that the official remaster would steal Skyblivion's thunder, but the devs have made it clear that they don't see it that way. And now, they've given us another look at the game, and it's easy to see why - Skyblivion is certainly capable of doing its own thing.

As per description, the Skyblivion team says that the visuals will reflect the "time and conditions" of Cyrodiil, even from inside buildings. It does to show how much attention to detail is going into this fan-made remake, making it perfectly capable of standing on its own two feet.

We don't have a specific release date for Skyblivion just yet, but it is set to be with us at some point in 2025. When it launches, we'll be able to pick it up on GOG, and in fact, you can wishlist it now as you can any other game on the platform.
