We now know what games Xbox Live Gold members will get in the month of October through Games with Gold.
On the Xbox Wire, it was announced that the first two games coming to Games with Gold in October are Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut and Maid of Sker. Both games will be available on the Xbox One. Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut pays homage to classic '80s trash horrors. The game puts players in the role of Skullface, a demented villain out to terrorize camp counselors. There are over 300 puzzles in this isometric puzzle game. Butcher's Cut will be available on the service from October 1st to 31st.
Maid of Sker is set in a remote hotel that has a macabre and gory history. Players will use stealth tactics in order to stay alive against a cult of sound-based enemies. Maid of Sker is inspired by chilling Welsh folklore, and has gamers do their best to survive and brave the nightmares of the Quiet Ones. Maid of Sker will be available from October 16th to November 15th.
Two more games are coming to Games with Gold, and will be available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One through Backward Compatibility. The games are Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Costume Quest. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is inspired by the mythology of ancient Egypt, and has gamers play as Sphinx and his hero friend the Mummy. Players will use stealth, agility, and special powers to find the stolen magical crowns of Egypt and save the world. The title will be available through Games with Gold from October 1st to the 15th.
The final game coming to games with Gold in October is Costume Quest. In Costume Quest, gamers collect super-powered magical costumes and level up their hero as they make their way through the monster-filled neighborhoods of Auburn Pines. Players will complete quests, build up their party, and smite evil in this Halloween-inspired title.
Xbox Live Gold grants Xbox players access to online multiplayer, free, games and exclusive member discounts on the Microsoft Store. The service is available on its own, or through the Ultimate version of Xbox Game Pass.
