Nintendo has announced that Donkey Kong Bananza will receive its own dedicated Direct this week, one that will reveal more information about the Switch 2 exclusive game ahead of its July 2025 release.
Donkey Kong Bananza is set to be one of the biggest Switch 2 exclusives in its first year, with the famous ape back in the leading role. In Donkey Kong Bananza, a group of evil apes have stolen banana-shaped diamonds, so it’s up to DK to stop them, usually by smashing them in the face.
Donkey Kong Bananza was the big closer of the first official Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and now it’s getting its own event. It was revealed on the Nintendo Today app (now confirmed on Video Games Chronicle) that Donkey Kong Bonanza is getting its own Direct, which should hopefully reveal more information about certain missing characters.
Donkey Kong Bananza Direct Coming June 18
Nintendo has confirmed that the Donkey Kong Bananza Direct will take place on June 18, 2025. As of the time of writing, no start time/time zones have been given, nor has the duration of the showcase been revealed.
