Baldur's Gate 3 has a ridiculous amount of spells and abilities, so much so that you're bound to forget about some of the tricks you have up your sleeve. One that many of us forget after we unlock it is Mage Hand, a low-level cantrip accessible to a bunch of different classes.
It's a cool little novelty at first, as you summon a hand that you can command and get to interact with objects or the world around you. But it's a bit crap in a fight, so you probably don't end up casting it much at all once better cantrips and spells are at your disposal.
That's not to say it's useless, however. As Reddit user stalwart-bulwark discovered, it's actually far more effective than we're led to believe, because it can effortlessly get past traps, and even reach places that party members can't.
Stalwart-bulwark does this as an Arcane Trickster - a Rogue subclass - but you can also pick it up if you're a Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard, or part of the Warrior subclass, Eldritch Knight.
