It Took Stellar Blade Just 72 Hours To Sell 1 Million Copies On PC, And We All Know Why

If it wasn't already abundantly clear, Stellar Blade has been nothing short of a success since its launch on PC last week. But now, thanks to a post on a South Korean website, we now know just how many copies Shift Up's title has been able to sell.

Shift Up's Stellar Blade is landing on PC next month, and that means mods are soon to follow.

As first spotted by Insider Gaming, a post on South Korean site Ruliweb has revealed that Stellar Blade's PC port managed to sell 1,000,000 copies in just 72 hours. It took the PlayStation 5 version of the game roughly two months to reach the same number of sales.

In all, the game has managed to sell 3,000,000 units to date, and with budget estimates at around $30-50 million, it's clear that the studio has made back its money and then some. Of course, there's definitely a key reason why Stellar Blade has been a massive success on PC compared to PlayStation, and it has nothing to do with the game's combat (Sorry, Shuhei Yoshida).
