GEX Trilogy is adding new versions of the game in a future update that will please a large chunk of the fanbase, as the PAL versions with different voice actors are coming to the three titles, with the Steam patch coming first.
In the USA versions of GEX, GEX: Enter the Gecko, and GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko, the titular lizard was voiced by comedian Dana Gould. In the UK/PAL releases, Gould voiced Gex in the first game, but Leslie Phillips portrayed him in the second entry, and Danny John-Jules in the final game.
GEX Trilogy has restored all three titles for modern platforms, and to celebrate its launch, Limited Run Games has announced on BlueSky that it’s being updated to add the PAL versions of the games, which will restore the UK voice actors for Gex.
The UK Versions Of Gex Are Back
The update for GEX Trilogy is currently being pushed out on Steam, with the console versions expected to receive it soon. Once live, players can select the PAL versions of the second and third games, featuring different voices.
