The PlayStation Network's region restrictions have been lifted, which means Helldivers 2 players worldwide have rejoined the battle. Helldivers studio Arrowhead would like to celebrate the occasion, and might just mark it by finally making the infamous review bomb cape a reality.
Helldivers 2 was a next-level hit for PlayStation last year, so much so that it may have resulted in the studio expecting a little too much from the other live service games it had in the offing. When you look back at the sequel's launch, the mess that was its post-launch PSN requirements makes it even more impressive that Helldivers 2 managed to succeed.

PlayStation added a PSN requirement to Helldivers 2 after it released, even for those playing on Steam. That unpopular decision led to the game getting review bombed, and then the PSN requirement being lifted. However, the game remained unavailable in countries without PSN. Those region restrictions were lifted last week, resulting in a reverse review bomb being detonated for Helldivers 2 on Steam.
