The developers of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles have confirmed that the game won’t feature any of the new content from The War of the Lions remake on the PSP, save for its altered translation.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is the upcoming remake of the PS1 original, which is considered by many to be one of the best JRPGs of all time. Final Fantasy Tactics was remade in the 2000s for the PSP as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, which added new jobs, boss battles, and even multiplayer content.

The content from The War of the Lions remake is going to be absent from Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. This was confirmed in an interview with Famitsu, where game director Kazutoyo Maehiro remarked that the only element retained from The War of the Lions is its updated script.
