Dead By Daylight Has Smashed A Four Year Old Record, Thanks To The Five Nights At Freddy's Crossover

Dead by Daylight has more players on PC right now than it has in its lifetime. Over on Steam, the concurrent player record has been beaten, with the last record set four years ago.

The previous record was 105,093, so there are even more fans than that logged in through Steam right now. This comes as the game's Five Nights at Freddy's crossover goes live, adding a bunch of new content to the game, including Springtrap as a Killer.

You can check out the player count over on SteamDB. At the time of writing, there are 105,185 players online at once on Steam alone, so this isn't even accounting for those on other platforms.

Given the size - and the dedication - of the Five Nights at Freddy's community, this is hardly surprising. It's a perfect fit for Dead by Daylight, combining two popular horror games for this unqiue chapter.

There's also a whole lot included in the update. Springtrap is a playable killer, bringing FNAF's iconic jump scares to Dead by Daylight. There's also a new map, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and new skins.
