Warner Bros. Restructures Mortal Kombat, Game Of Thrones And Harry Potter Franchises

Following the disappointing reception of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Warner Bros. announced last year that it would focus on a few key franchises moving forward.

These key franchises include the Harry Potter brand, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, and the company's DC universe titles (namely Batman).

While no new title has been announced today, Warner Bros. is making some big moves when it comes to these key franchises.

Warner Bros. Games Division Making Major Moves For Key Game Franchises

This new report comes from entertainment publication Variety, which mentions that leadership for these four key franchises has shifted.

Three current studio heads have been promoted to the role of senior vice president as part of this restructuring. Warner Bros Games Montréal studio chief Yves Lachance has been promoted to senior VP, and will oversee the development teams working on games based on the Harry Potter and Game of Thrones franchises.

Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm has also seen a leadership change, as Shaun Himmerick has been promoted to senior VP, and will oversee the Mortal Kombat and DC games.
