“You All Deserve The Full Story”: Ousted Subnautica Devs Are Now Suing Krafton In "Painful Way"

Last week, the Subnautica community was rocked when the game's original creators, and Unknown Worlds founders, were removed from the studio "effective immediately". The news came as "quite a shock" to former CEO Charlie Cleveland, who, along with fellow firees Ted Gill and Max McGuire, revealed that Subnautica 2 was ready for early access. Despite this, it was reported that Krafton was planning to delay Subnautica 2 to avoid paying the studio founders $250 million in bonuses, a delay which shortly came to pass.

Subnautica 2 devs have responded to recent criticism over the direction of the game.

Krafton, now the owners of Unknown Worlds, offered a different perspective on things, stating that the trio was removed because they "abandoned the responsibilities entrusted to them," adding that "nothing has changed with how the game is structured".

Seemingly, this explanation hasn't gone down well with Gill, McGuire, and Cleveland, with the latter taking to social media to share that they have filed a lawsuit against Krafton.
