Spare a thought for the Hollow Knight: Silksong community. It's been over six years since the game was initially revealed, and for the most part, fans have been feeding off scraps since then. Prior to this year, they only had a couple of trailers and delay announcements to feed off.
This year has changed things, though. Despite skipping both The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest, Xbox confirmed the game was still due for a 2025 release, an exhibition in Australia promised a playable version of the game in September, and it has received dozens of Steam updates since the turn of the year, increasing in frequency over the last month or so.
The release inches ever closer...
But maybe all of these changes are a little too much, with Silksong fans now convinced that Team Cherry themselves are trolling the community.
