Early Copies Of Donkey Kong Bananza Are Being Sold Online For Nearly Double Its Price Ahead Of Next Week's Release

A little more than a month has passed since the Nintendo Switch 2, along with Mario Kart World, were both released, and now Donkey Kong Bananza will be the next major title to hit the Switch 2 when it launches next week on July 17.

The chaotic freeform style of Donkey Kong recalls the do nothing, feel everything stylings of GTA.

With the release date rapidly approaching, it appears that early copies have made it into the wild. So far it doesn't look like any spoilers have been posted, though it's worth wondering how much of a Donkey Kong game there would be to spoil. Still, that hasn't stopped those with incredible luck from trying to cash in on the lack of Switch 2-exclusive games.

As first shared on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit, someone managed to get their hands on Bananza early, showcasing the game's cover art, back cover art and spine. That's well and good, but the person with the copy in their hands is also trying to sell it.

Over on eBay, the game is being sold for — wait for it — $109.99, and apparently, according to the listing, eight copies have already been sold.
