For what feels like forever, Transformers fans have been eagerly waiting for Activision to re-license some of its older games, specifically High Moon Studios' Transformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron from back in the Xbox 360 days. Despite multiple prevalent, and largely believable rumors, the games have yet to be re-released.
With that in mind, video game archivist Rohan Kar decided to take it upon themselves to not only re-release War for Cybertron, but also "remaster" it, adding a texture pool that turns the 2010 game into a 4K, 60fps modern feeling title.
Go figure, the game does look pretty darn good, and apparently there is a new intro that has fans feeling pretty nostalgic. It certainly more than makes up for the fact that Transformers fans have not been eating good when it comes to new games in the franchise.
