Hades 2 Is Nearing A Major Milestone One Year After Its Early Access Launch

Hades 2 launched into early access just over a year ago, and it was a resounding success for Supergiant Games, hitting an impressive peak of 103,000 players. And that was when we still had placeholder gods to talk to. Now, midway through 2025, it's finally nearing the finish line, undoubtedly gearing up to dominate the roguelite genre all over again.

As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, Hades 2 just received a smaller patch following the enormous Unseen update, which Supergiant says "will likely be our final patch before our v1.0 launch, whenever that will be!"

Even with launch around the corner, Supergiant promises that it will "keep monitoring your feedback".

There's still no release date, but Hades 2 is closer than ever to launch after 14 months in early access, which lines up with what Supergiant promised back in April when it said that the game would release on both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as a timed exclusive when V1.0 rolls around. With the Switch 2 now firmly in hand, it's only a matter of time.
