Despite The Radio Silence At Every PlayStation Event, God Of War Director's New Game Is Reportedly "Going Well"

We've heard very little about what's happening at Santa Monica Studio since the release of God of War: Ragnarok in 2022, but we do know that Cory Barlog, director of both God of War (2018) and Ragnarok, has been leading a project at the studio.

There's been no mention of the project at any of PlayStation's showcases over the last three years, but Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has provided a small update on Barlog's new game.

In response to a user on ResetEra who asked Schreier about the progress on Balrog's game, the journalist replied, "Cory Barlog's game is [Sony Santa Monica's] next big thing. Last time I spoke to anyone about it (a month or two ago) it was going well."

A tidbit, but most likely a reassurance to people who were worried about a studio that's been more-or-less radio silent for the last few years.

Cory Barlog has had a strange career. After working on the original God of War trilogy, Barlog departed Santa Monica Studio in 2013.
