Controversial Action-Adventure Game Goes on Sale Just One Month After Launch

MindsEye, the controversial first title by Leslie Benzies' Build a Rocket Boy, has already received a 30% discount by some retailers, just one month after the action-adventure game's disastrous release. Gamers who have been curious about all of the controversy surrounding MindsEye, but reluctant to pay full price for the title, can now pick it up for just $40 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at select retailers.

No early review copies of MindsEye were sent to media outlets before the game's release, but a handful of content creators were given the opportunity to go hands-on with the game earlier this year. Many described MindsEye as a "broken mess," filled with bugs and performance issues. Unfortunately, things didn't get much better by the time its release date rolled around, as MindsEye quickly became the worst-reviewed game of the year. Sure, there's still half of the year left to go, but MindsEye is currently rocking a Metacritic score of 37, which means a truly awful game is going to have to come along if it wants to claim the award for 2025's worst game.
