Marvel Rivals has done the unforgivable, robbing Phoenix of her freckles. As spotted by eagle-eyed players trying out the new hero, Phoenix's in-game model doesn't feature the freckles that we see in her preview, and this isn't the only discrepancy we're seeing with her character.
In another instance, her Chaos Phoenix skin looks much better in the preview, but is noticeably of a worse quality when you actually equip it. And yes, it robs her of her freckles once again, and no one knows why.
Fans are sharing examples of her disappearing freckles on social media, showing that there is a huge difference in the previews and artwork we got for Phoenix, and her final character model. While we do expect some visual downgrades between what we get in cinematics and during gameplay, this is a bit much, and even worse when you look at the downgraded visuals for a skin that players might fork over real money for.
