Persona Artist Reveals Surprise Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Connection

An artist who crafted some of the most iconic designs in the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei franchises has revealed a strange coincidence involving his work and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the popular long-running anime/manga series.

There are a ton of comparisons between Persona and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, most notably in their respective battle systems. Both franchises involve people calling spirits to aid them in battle, with Personas and Stands fighting alongside their summoners. Then there’s the whole Persona 4’s storyline being a copy of Jojo Part 4, which is something noticed by a lot of people over the years.

Former Atlus artist Kazumi Kaneko’s designs are closely associated with the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei franchises, much like Yoshitaka Amano is with Final Fantasy. In a recent interview with Animate Times (shared by Automaton Times), he revealed a funny coincidence involving an artist who inspired him.
