We've been waiting on tenterhooks for Valve to make Half-Life 3 ever since that heart-wrenching cliffhanger in 2007, and while rumours mount that the sequel is finally underway, Valve just made a tongue-in-cheek jab at its fans.

Visa and Mastercard now have the power to veto games on Steam.

To announce Premier Season 3 for Counter-Strike 2, Valve penned a blog post titled "Season Two: Episode One"—sounds familiar, eh? That's pretty much exactly what the Half-Life 2 sequel was called.

I had a quick scan of r/HalfLife and, surprisingly, fans are taking it well. Nobody has the Pepe Silvia conspiracy board out just yet (give it time), and only a couple of people seem genuinely upset at Valve. Everyone else is laughing along.
