Sand Theft Auto: Dune Awakening Servers Are Hit By Vehicle Hijackers

Funcom continues to iron out the wrinkles of their new survival game Dune: Awakening, as hackers have found an exploit that allows them to steal vehicles using a carrier ornithopter. It appears hundreds of reports have been made about this issue over the last several weeks, and one gamer in particular continues to fight back against unfair odds.

Reddit user SpooN04 recently posted new video evidence of the hijackings to the r/duneawakening subreddit, and plans to continue reporting the incidents until the players are banned. There are many similar experiences from other gamers being reported, but SpooN04's retaliation has become a heated battle.

"The hackers have said that I am personally on their hit list now. But I will keep sacrificing thopters for video evidence until Funcom's CS finally lifts a finger. (Funcom reward my faith in you)"

The latest video evidence from SpooN04 shows a carrier ornithopter swooping down, attaching to the ornithopter mid-air, dragging it across the Deep Desert, and killing the player.

"There have been HUNDREDS of reports with evidence just like this. We have been reporting them since near-launch."
