Despite the backlash and reviewbombing over the censorship issues, Ready or Not has been doing great in terms of player count. Earlier today we reported that the game sold more than one million console copies in four days. It seems that there's a massive divide between the PC and console players.
Censorship hardly matters when a game like Ready or Not shouldn't exist to begin with.
However, that doesn't mean that players still aren't annoyed at Void Interactive. After initially revealing that only a handful of instances will be censored, players noticed that a lot more had changed, while the quality also dropped massively. Now it seems that players are noticing the use of generative AI without any declaration on Steam.
As spotted by Game Pressure, a Reddit post by Ill-Consideration632 has pointed out that a lot of the game's background assets, like posters and signs, evidently look AI-generated. "Nice AI imagery. Waifu has two sets of eyebrows," they noted. The image reveals a poster of an anime girl from one of the levels, and she does, in fact, have two sets of eyebrows.
