Actor Charlie Cox has said that he will finally play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, because fans keep asking him about it, and he knows nothing about the story.

Charlie Cox played Gustave in Clair Obscur, which involved providing a few hours of voice work. He has said in past interviews that he feels like a fraud because the game is so highly acclaimed, yet he contributed so little to the project.

During a recent interview at GalaxyCon New Orleans 2025 (shared on the con’s official YouTube page), after being unable to answer a question about Clair Obscur, Cox said that he needs to play the game, which includes getting a console. This is because he’s repeatedly asked about it and doesn’t have any answers.

It’s Time For Charlie Cox To Experience Clair Obscur

Cox admitted that he was impressed by the visuals, as the last game he played was Super Mario 64, but that was the extent of his knowledge of its content. He didn’t recognize one of the characters’ names when it was brought up as a question.

If Cox is serious about this, then he will hopefully play the game on stream, possibly as part of a charity...
