The freshly released cinematic reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 has already surpassed the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 reveal trailer's likes on YouTube in just a single hour. There's been a flurry of Battlefield 6 buzz since EA finally confirmed the game's official title yesterday in teasing today's thrilling trailer. This modern-day-set Battlefield game has been in playtesting for several months, and leaks have pointed toward the game having a separate free-to-play battle royale mode.

The reveal of Black Ops 7 was the closing act of Xbox's June showcase last month. It's the second time Call of Duty fans are getting back-to-back subseries entries, following Modern Warfare 2 and MW3 in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Black Ops 7 is a futuristic entry that will look to serve as both a follow-up to last year's Black Ops 6 and a sequel to the 2012 classic, Black Ops 2. The reveal trailer confirmed the return of David Mason, whose most recent appearance was in BO2, and the trailer's trippy and surreal visuals are much in-line with Black Ops 3, Black Ops Cold War, and BO6's campaigns.
