One leaked SpongeBob SquarePants game is reportedly set to ditch the highly popular Switch in favor of its successor, the Switch 2. Keeping in mind that an overwhelming number of Nintendo players haven't yet been able to get their hands on the Switch 2 yet, so this apparent decision from THQ Nordic, the publisher behind the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants game, is a surprising one.
The traces of an unannounced SpongeBob SquarePants game were first spotted when it received an age rating from the South Korean board and from its German equivalent in June. In the same instance, it was also revealed that the game was titled SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide and was being made by THQ Nordic for PC and current-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The emergence of this leak was in line with a tease from 2024, which alluded to a new SpongeBob game in the following year. Most recently, a new report has shared some more information about the leaked title, ranging from its release date to its price.
